Smoke Simi? What are you ACTUALLY Smoking?
Smoke Simi? V2 is the visually improved and simplified version of Smoke Simi? V1. Delving into some of the least talked about consequences of smoking, Smoke Simi? continues on the attempt to provoke the minds of oblivious smokers.
Moving forward, the project will continue to be a work-in-progress, experimenting on the different perceptions of smoking and possible approaches to kick the habit for good.

Day 285
Fighters not quitters.
According to a 2014 study in the United States, exposure to secondhand smoke caused an estimate of 41,000 deaths each year among adults with 7,333 annual deaths from lung cancer, and 33,951 from heart disease.
The underlying message in this post was to poke at those who refuse to quit even for their close ones, despite knowing the harm it will do. How selfish can one go?

Day 315
Cannot stand anymore
According to Web MD, men who smoked more than 20 cigarettes daily had a 60% higher risk of erectile dysfunction, compared to men who never smoked. That’s a huge number. For men who are looking to start a family but are heavy smokers, this could be a potential problem.
They probably do not care about the graphic images on the packagings threatening them with cancer, but how would their descendants think? (That is if they ever have any).
Just stop smoking, it’s really not that hard.

Day 330
Know the quitline, save the hairline.
Hair loss is possibly one of the bigger concerns, especially for men. While some would argue it is only a matter of time, but are they willing to quit smoking to slow down that process, or to prevent it from happening altogether?
Smoking can potentially damage your hair follicles and increase your risk of developing hair loss. According to Healthline, 425 out of 500 smokers had some degree of hair loss while only 200 of 500 nonsmokers showed signs of hair loss.

Day 345
“New tee drop when you drop the habit”
Still under the “smoking is cool” impression? Or was it “peer pressure”? We have a mind of our own, we’re not puppets. Make your own choices!
Here’s some streetwear for you to look cool enough though!

About the project
We’ve all heard different reasons and excuses of how it is a “social” thing, “it’s my last stick already”, and of course, the annual new year’s resolution when it comes to kicking the habit.
Smoke Simi? is an observational project of these traits, habits and nicotine addiction in general. Focusing on the obliviousness towards obvious consequences, Smoke Simi? executes the idealogy of smoking in a satirical fashion. It is also a personal quitting progress diary.
